i wanted to set up my university email that uses the microsoft exchange service (outlook web access) on my zte blade. when i go to my email and set it up it always pops up saying "cannot establish server connection" or something along those lines. can someone please give me a guide or help me to set up my uni email on my phone.

without knowing specific details, then i'd try the following:

get the activesync server details from your uni

ensure OWA is enabled on your email account (i presume it is already)

ime, server address is not the URL. it's mearly the server address. ie: https://owa.yourdomain.com/owa, would be owa.yourdomain.com on your phone. ensure you've got this correct.

for our email, the server address is automatically completed from the email address; which is incorrect. i have to manually change the server address.

are you trying to sync via wifi, or via mobile data connection? i tend to set it up initially via 3g/gprs (ie: exchange setup) and then use wifi to actually get the emails down.

2.1 doesnt allow calendar to be directly synced. i use google calendar sync on a machine with outlook installed.

work > outlook > google calendar sync > gmail > android.

ensure the first calendar in your gmail is the one you wish to sync to. otherwise move existing data to a new calendar. google calendar sync will only write to your first gmail calendar.

The obvious thing to ask is OWA enabled on your exchange server, and does your university's infrastructure support it?

*edit* veehexx beat me to it
