CyanogenMod Coming to GT540.

So, few guys @ 4pda.ru are working to port Cyanogen to GT540. Quarx and ankuch (Strange but both of them are doing theyre own ROMs, not teaming up to create one).

So lets hope we will have 2.2.1 CyanogenMod until Christmas! Would be nice present lol

Small Update: Ankuch and Quarx teamed up, so the release of CyanogenMod 2.2.1 for GT540 should be even faster and more finished. And im really excited about this :P

great news. I definetly don't regret moving from SE to LG. They got much better OS support, and if they are sticking to the schedule of releasing Froyo 2.2 in december, it's really great!

Good to see developers beginning to work for this phone.

Here are some easy instructions for everyone who wants to try this :

IF YOU HAVE CLOCKWORK RECOVERY USE THIS :

1. Download THIS

2. Extract the file on your desktop for example

3. Copy the extracted file to your SD card in the SD/clockworkmod/backup/ directory

4. Next Restore your phone

IF YOU HAVE FAST BOOT USE THIS OPTION :

1. Download THIS

2. 2. Extract the file on your desktop for example

3. Put your in fastboot mode ( press volume down, camera and power )

4. Open CMD.exe :

fastboot -w

fastboot erase system

fastboot flash system system.img

fastboot flash boot boot.img

fastboot reboot

how can I fix wifi because I done the full permissions but now wifi wont turn on it just says error

Added support for camera with video recording has a problem.

Bluetooth works for file transfer, the reception is not working. Audio transmission is not tested (no headset)

Lock screen during incoming and outgoing calls.

Mozes, no treba da imas ROM so Fastboot. Za da proveris dali tvojot rom ima fastboot, sledi gi ovie cekori:

1. Iskluci go telefonot.

2. Pusti go telefonot so drzenje na power+camera kopcinjata.

3. Ako se pojavi crna slika posle LG logoto, imas fastboot.

4. Ako telefonot se pusti normalno, nemas fastboot i moras da instaliras rom so fastboot.
