Guest Sanukk Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Hi All, When re-flashing, I have most things backed up so it's relatively easy to get up and running again. The one thing I've not been able to back up are the WIFI passwords though. I assume there must be a way of doing this, can anybody let me in on the secret? -S
Guest crescentman Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 I'm advised that Titanium Backup will do this. I've yet to try it though:- http://matrixrewriter.com/ Hi All, When re-flashing, I have most things backed up so it's relatively easy to get up and running again. Guest Silvake Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 @crescentman is right, TB has this feature and it works just fine, I tried it myself and it does restore WiFi APs and their passwords. Of course, you need root access to use TB, and IF you have it (root I mean), you could also try another method. You could easily find (and even see the info you're after) in the /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf file (use RootExplorer or Android SDK to find and read/copy it). Restore it from a backup and you should have all your previous APs/passwords in place (if I'm not mistaken, this is exactly what TB does, i.e. backup/restore of the wpa_supplicant.conf file).
