And another unique thing: the pad is almost 1/4 the speed of my 2.2 Ghz notebook with windows vista64 bit and stockfish as 64-bit engine on 1 core. i am very happy with these values.
Guest rovex Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 For reference the Dell Streak running Steves 1.4.5, OC to 1150Mhz gets 133,000NPS. I think this shows the advantage the Tegra Cortex A9 has even in single core mode.

Guest rovex Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Steves 1.4.5 is a custom Froyo build for the Dell Streak that includes an overclock kernel. Partly made form scratch, partly rebuilt from Dell original Froyo. Its pretty damn fast and shows that the Advent in single core mode (and somewhat unoptimised) is at least as fast. The Streak running that build hits about 2000-2200 in Quadrant which is one of the best scores for a snapdragon device.

Guest rockrat Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 can you tell me why we have two figures for the vega, one with 2cores? in other words, what i am getting at is, does my vega get the higher figure (assuming its better) and if not, does this mean i have to do something to get a better result from my processor
Guest TylerDurdenK Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 can you tell me why we have two figures for the vega, one with 2cores? in other words, what i am getting at is, does my vega get the higher figure (assuming its better) and if not, does this mean i have to do something to get a better result from my processor The 2 figures have come out because originally the test was done with a different version of the benchmark software, and that only used one core, this new version uses both. All Vega's should be capable of the higher speeds.
