Help installing samsung remote apk

Hi

Samsung have a peice of software for the galaxy s that transmits commands over lan that are picked up by certain tv's that support it. I have the apk but it wont install on my desire. Can somone please help me figure out why?

Yes I know that - but the galaxy s and desire are both android 2.2 so I can't see it being too much of a stretch to get it to work - just not sure how?

Different frameworks. It's like Sense widgets don't work on another Launcher. It would take re-writing to get it working and I doubt Devs are bothered about using a phone to turn on a TV...

So what your saying is that if the touchwiz launcher was installed on my phone it would work? I've done a quick bit of digging and it looks like the apk might need resigning to get it to work. I am going to try this now.
