Guest wangtastic Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Hello all. I'm looking for a decent android tablet to replace my laptop, looking to spend no more than £200 really. Would be a big bonus if it has 2.2 on it. I've seen this: http://uk.ebid.net/for-sale/10-2-android-2...from=googlebase any good? any and all recommendations would be great!
Guest SilentMobius Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 (edited) anyone? Nothing under £200 is going to be any good, for that amount you're going to be getting crappy screen/resistive touchscreen/low-spec CPU/no GPU Right now the cheapest OK tablet is the Advent vega @~£250 (I have one and am happy with it) but there are plenty of downsides to that device. Remember the nearest competitor _starts_ at £429 and even that rarely replaces a laptop. Edited December 6, 2010 by SilentMobius
Guest DrSuave Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Advent vega @~£250 (I have one and am happy with it) same ;)
Guest SilentMobius Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 same ;) And using it right now to reply on the train, while tethered to my N1. Protip: white backgrounds and wallpapers make the poor viewing angles much less obvious
Guest wangtastic Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 Thanks guys, I might hold my horses then. I'm thinking a 2.1 device might do for the odd bit of gaming and browsing minus flash videos? what you think? thanks again :)
