Tablets - confused!

Nothing under £200 is going to be any good, for that amount you're going to be getting crappy screen/resistive touchscreen/low-spec CPU/no GPU

Right now the cheapest OK tablet is the Advent vega @~£250 (I have one and am happy with it) but there are plenty of downsides to that device.

Remember the nearest competitor _starts_ at £429 and even that rarely replaces a laptop.

And using it right now to reply on the train, while tethered to my N1. Protip: white backgrounds and wallpapers make the poor viewing angles much less obvious

Thanks guys, I might hold my horses then.

I'm thinking a 2.1 device might do for the odd bit of gaming and browsing minus flash videos?
