Installation method? Just replace gallery3d.apk with this one under /system/app?

i havent try replace the default's gallery.. so i just install the apk using filer

that seems to work fine, move the Gallery.apk to system/app folder and delete the Gallery3d.apk

When I come to install this it wants to install it as "Camera" - Im a bit dubious of doing this.

Strange.. the 3D gallery works fine for me. I never liked the 2D one too much as you couldn't look under categories when you chose a new dock or wallpaper from the option.

Can't get it to work. App says 'Camera' when trying to install.

This post confuses me, since your modded rom contains the 2D Gallery...

Yeah, same here, the 3d gallery on Flibblesan's R3 is anything buy laggy, in fact it's way faster than what it was, almost instant in fact.

That's right and I do apologise for that. However, I have found an alternative gallery app which is very 'lightweight' and does virtually the same as the old 2D gallery app: http://www.appbrain.com/app/picture-folder...ensw.PicFolder#

naa.. 2d is faster..hehe.. i had many problem with 3d gallery,

1. it didnt load picture properly

2. it takes ages to load big image

3. and 2d is way faster when you r applying wallpaper...its instant u unlike 3d gallery..

bt newy..its up to us, ;)

BTW i was thinking is it possible to have both the gallery?? 3d as well as 2d, 2d is ugly to look..:P but way fast. 3d is slow but way cool..:P
