sms suddenly stopped sending (ZTE Blade running froyo 2.2 G2)

my blade has been working fine all day up until around 3.30pm

i noticed that all my messages in the original messages app (not handcent, chomp etc..) said 'sending...' and hung there no matter what i tried

i noticed that this all happened when i installed the autostart app that i saw on 'pauls app of the day' list and thought id try it out.

AFAIK i hadn't stopped anything that would have corrupted the message app (only disabled things from the 'after boot' menu like photobucket, camera, music etc)

did numerous restarts and cold restarts, and even tried rebooting using CWM.

then uninstalled the autostart app, hoping it would solve any issues it had caused. but nothing changed

no luck at all.

i can still recieve sms, send/recieve mail and use the internet.

but i cannot send sms at all.

im aware that paul is very close to releasing his build of 2.2, but im happy with the version im running and was wondering if anybody can help on the subject
