Guest kingdom master Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 just how small can i get mp3's or wav files for thee spv, how do we reduce the size of the file while keep alot of the quality. ive used windows encoder and winamp but it still doesnt reduce the size to much, any idea's? i have a 128meg sd card just how many mp3 or wav's could i get on it? km spvnet development site
Guest frijj2k Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 Best results are obtained when u use Windows Media Encoder to a WMA file. A 3.8 Mb MP3 gets reduced to around 1.4 Mb WMA. Not bad and the sound quality is the same. Unfortunately you cannot use anything but WAV files for your ringtones. I have tried creating WAV files with different codecs such as Windows Media Audio and MPEG-Layer3 but you have to use PCM which results in a really large file as you know! :-( Best program I have found is dBpowerAMP Music Converter ( http://www.dbpoweramp.com/ ) Hope this helps....
