Guest tariq87 Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 after attempting to update to version 2 the phone decided to stop working. will not load past the acer android screen, the one with the 3 androids on it. my computer will not recognize its existence in the computer drive screen despite that it says its attached :| when i normal boot it a black and white screen, 80% white and rest black shows up, then it goes to the screen with the 3 robots. doesn't progress further. booting it with vol down cam and power it does this: white screen screen with robot and box, lasts for 3 seconds then.. this madness appears this never goes away all that happens with the update from this link: http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/OS...amp;Step1=Smart and my regular stuff from my sd card. also attempted with a blank card with just the update, nothing different. also like to add, volume up and down together to clean boot does not do anything after it "boots" so obviously my question remains.. anyone have any idea how to get this brick working again?? thanks in advance :P
Guest Harness Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 Welcome to MoDaCo. Boot with Volume Down + Camera + Power, plug it in to your computer, see if the download tool recognizes it anyhow. That's how mine got fixed. Harness.
Guest tariq87 Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 thank you lol. tried to but same thing. only the white screen does not show instead its a multi colored screen. now i'm not even sure if the download tool is even there. someone link please?
Guest Koki1337 Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 Did the flashing process went well?

Guest Harness Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 (edited) http://lcr-team.org/v1/index.php?site=files&cat=13 And download Acer Tools v3.1 NOT 3.7. Get the 4.002.14 bin, flash it to your phone, and let us know what happens. Edited December 2, 2010 by Harness

Guest anijac1412 Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 http://lcr-team.org/v1/index.php?site=files&cat=13 And download Acer Tools v3.1 NOT 3.7. Get the 4.002.14 bin, flash it to your phone, and let us know what happens. Can anyone tell me where this "4.002.14 bin" is? I'm currently trying to fix my Dad's phone, having the same problems as tariq! TIA! ;)
Guest tariq87 Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 i just googled it http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...1-bin-for-256m/ since this happened to me when i was out of my home country, i never did use text messaging. but since i returned i get a send fail for ever single text. does anyone know of a quick fix for this or will i have to send my phone in.. i really do not want to do so. ;)
Guest HustlinDaily Posted January 29, 2011 Report Posted January 29, 2011 (edited) Note that the link you provided is for Liquid 256MB (RAM), meaning Liquid A1 ONLY. If you have Liquid E (512MB of RAM), then you must flash the bin for Liquid E only (kinda assuming that you have a Liquid E since a high majority of Canadians do as it is offered by Rogers and FIDO there). All bins are listed here- http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...act-collection/ Look under Android 2.2 and go near the bottom of that list and find one for your device (4.002.14.EMEA is the latest Europe/Middle Eastern/Asian bin meaning it has many European languages alongside English while AAP is the Asian/Asian Pacific bin meaning it has Chinese traditional and Chinese han alongside English). If you get an MD5 Fail by the Acer Tool, ignore it and flash anyways. Edited January 29, 2011 by HustlinDaily
