Guest vinzzy Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 I've flahed a 2.2 Froyo to my new San Francisco Phone, unlocked, and swooped to a Vodafone 2G Pay as you go SIM card. (The orange one is throw away because id used up all the credit inside) As the SIM looks like having no internet access ability, the phone get to internet via my home's wireless network (WPA PSK) It's fine browsing website, watching youtube, but it I cannot add my google account to the phone so I just cannot download anything from Android Market and Appbrain, which totally pissed me off!!! Making this phone totally useless! Everytime when I tried to add my google account to this phone, "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call Customer Care" message will appear. I tried thousands of times of rebooting, rerooting, reinstall the OS, default wireless settings APN etc that I could found in the internet, none of them work. I'm extremely terrified, and need help!
Guest Arr Too Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 Only Paul's latest ROM can setup a Google account via wifi: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...w-chinese-leak/
Guest therealpongo Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 Have you put the Vodaphone APN in ?
Guest Niks10 Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 Have you put the Vodaphone APN in ? With this APN setup, you may try using 2G (GPRS) to setup your google, and once setup you can then use wifi@Home
Guest WearTheFoxHat Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 With the Orange one, you might still have the internet credit available ... pop that back in. Turn off WiFi and stay on 3G or GPRS, setup Google Account. Sync. Turn off Phone, change to Voda Sim, and then can sync via WiFi or 3G.
