Crappy phone signal

Hi anyone else getting crappy phone signal on their phones?

On my phone it barely ever connects to 3g, and when it does it gets 0-1 bars. I checked the phone status and the signal strength is ~-110dbm. It also never changes to hsdpa when browsing. This is for most roms (orange, france, and 2.2 based roms). On Bladevillain 1.1.0 and the hungarian rom its even worst. It doesn't even connect to 3g and just stays on 2g.

For comparison, my desire currently has 2 bars on 3g with a signal strength of ~-77dbm.

I'm currently using it in Australia so I'm not sure if its a driver/radio issue not being optimized for australia or just a crappy antenna.

So anyone experiencing the same?

Mine is the opposite. I have used a Desire for the last 6 months and assumed in my area i couldn't get 3G or H as i had to travel around 1 mile before it could get at least 3G. Now i have the San Francisco i can get 3G and sometimes H at home! T-Mobile website says no 3G in my area so i'm very happy. It's very rare i get H though.

Hmm, seems like its a radio/driver issue then. Anyone know what files are related to the phone signal? I tried to replace some rill.so files from a legend rom but phone couldn't get signal after wards
