Guest Genieuk Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 ok, I know I can install MyWi or PDANet to turn the iPhone into a Wifi hotspot and then get the Vega to connect to it, but that drains the power of the iPhone quick. So what I wanted to do is enable tethering by bluetooth in the iPhone and be able to connect the Vega this way to give me internet access on the Vega on the move. I have paired it with the iPhone, but am a bit clueless as what else I would need to do on the Vega to make it see the bluetooth as a network. I'm completely new to Android, this is my first device, so any help appreciated. My guess is that the Vega needs to have client bluetooth PAN software.
Guest paulsmith Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 There isnt a way AFAIK with the vega yet. Other custom roms for android phones have some command line software that will allow the android to connect to a bluetooth PAN. Once these tools are on the vega - then you maybe in luck. Guest Genieuk Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 Thanks. Interesting link, but a little too complicated for me yet. It would be great if an app was available to do this.
