Hi all

Been looking in for a few days and just registered, I live in Spain and ordered a Advent Vega this morning using my Dads details in the UK.

I'll be there over the weekend into next week and have bought or so I think the Vega for my son for Christmas.

I ordered and completed payment within seconds of them becoming available this morning and promptly received an email saying the following

We are now preparing your PC World order for delivery.

Small item(s) (expect delivery within 3 working days)

Delivery method: Standard

QuantityProduct codeProduct priceTotal

ADVENT - Vega Internet Tablet 1050609£ 249.00£ 249.00

Order totals

Product costs (inc. services) £ 249.00

Delivery costs free

Total cost £ 249.00

(inc. VAT of) £ 37.09

All great, I've been waiting for a tracking number all day and have received nothing ?? so just logged into pcworld to check the order which says this

2010-12-02 Vega Internet Tablet - Due to unprecedented demand we have sold out and will be back in stock this week

So my question is have I got one or not :P

I would call them but cant using the 0844 number from Spain so if anyone knows more or happens to have a uk number I can call it would be greatly appreciated.

The answer is maybe. They rename the item to what you see there rather than taking it off the site. Best suggestion would be to call them to check.

After ordering on Staurday then being put on forward order and calling CS this morning i am also waiting for a tracking email. I think the description in your account page is linked to the sales page as mine has changed since Saturday and then again today when they changed the sales page description. As for have you got one who can tell. I was told that mine was going out for delivery but as the day has gone on i'm beginning to wonder.

According to PCWorld it can take up to 24hrs to get your confirmation email stating your order etc which will also have your tracking number,my email confirmation from them took 2 days to arrive though so wait and see and if you dont get one within 48hrs you may just have to phone them, hope this helps.

To be honest you may never get a tracking mail from pcworld, ordered mine last Saturday and got it last night, never received a tracking mail. And the call center staff don't have a clue, all they can see is what you got on email. I. E. Orderis being processed.

Thanks for the responses.

I've got my dad on the phone now bless him, he's getting on so I could end up losing the order altogether!

I ordered today and the confirmation said delivery would be between the 3rd and 5th of December which would be great, I am only back in the UK until first thing on Wednesday morning and then will be back in Spain so if it comes later will have to get it shipped over.

It's not the end of the world but is a bit of a letdown after being so pleased that I managed to type fast enough this morning to get one in the first place :P

DSG need to look long and hard at their order procedures because this kind of customer service is very damaging.

Ordered twice, first one got cancelled. Second one has apparently gone through with my vega sat at the DHL office because of the snow. !!

I never got a tracking email from DHL.

My Dads just got off the phone and your all right although they were very accommodating really didn't help at all they just read back to him the same information that we already have in the emails.

The girl was nice and even phoned a curry's and pcworld to ask the managers if they had any stock :P

You wont get the tacking number till DHL have it in the van, then you will get it 24hours later in theory, with the current weather you may be looking at up to 2/3 days after the email

Sorry to say but I also ordered before using my UK bank details but from a Swedish IP and it was all well and good but got put through to an internal fraud check at PC World. So they call you up and you basically tell them everything is OK but at that point of course it is too late and the stock is out.

Hope you have better luck!

I ordered with all my Dad's details with his knowledge so if they call him it will be verified ok.
