Help wanted: setting up new ZTE Blade

First, thanks and congrats to Paul and others behind this great web site. It never ceases to amaze me how much excellent and free info is available.

Second, I have just purchased a subscription as a very small way of saying "thanks"

Third, I hope sincerely that this post doesn't violate the site's rules

Now... I will be buying an Orange ZTE Blade (after a thorough web research). Seems like the best entry to mid level android phone on the market (I had considered Optimus One). I live in Italy

Having read and re-read all the forums and topics about debranding and installing a new ROM, I think I am still in over my head. So many acronyms, programs, terminology to learn for a noob. Perhaps I could do it, or perhaps I would brick the phone and struggle to make it usable again. But, bottom line is: it isnt worth my while to "spool up" for something I would most likely only do once in my life

So, I am looking for someone who is willing to take a brand new Orange ZTE, work with me over Skype to evaluate what can be loaded on the phone to give it a good operating life, and then send it to me in Italy. All costs pre-paid of course, and I am willing to pay the person who takes this on for his/her services

I could either buy the phone through a cousin living in Manchester or this person could buy it for me at an Orange shop

If anyone is interested in this project (hopefully not too difficult for those who read this site) please let me know via PM or email

Many thanks in advance
