txt msg character limit help

hey guys,

I'm running FLB-Froyo r3 and have found a weird issue. This may be completely unrelated to the phone or rom but I'm not sure.

Basically I just recieved a txt from someone, and their text filled the whole screen. Now I'm trying to send a txt back and i'm limited to 145 characters which is about half of what they sent.

So is this an issue with the rom, or the messaging app (which is stock) or is it my network (o2)? I thought every network had the same character limit:S

I don't know the answer, but the characters have been confusing me a lot. I sent 2 texts ( o2 also) roughly the same size yesterday..one went in one text..the other took 3..and believe me they weren't that long! I think given the problems I've had with this SF I'd never unlock a phone again..but I'm in love with it lol ;)

It's the messaging app. After 3 txt messages, it will be converted to a MMS. Download ChompSMS from the Market to prevent this
