Guest split2th Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 Malez Recovery the best And make nandroid backup ! Malez is a must have for liquid users. Use it with gscipt lite and the reboot recovery script. Make a nandroid backup. I make one every few days. I also use it to reset battery stats and clear cache. Many other uses, just get it.

Guest Delnar_Ersike Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) If you're upgrading to FroYo, you should first back up all your apps and data with Titanium Backup, then create a nandroid backup with malez recovery. If the FroYo upgrade succeeds, restore your apps and data with the Titanium Backup. If the FroYo upgrade fails, just install malez recovery again, then restore your nandroid backup. Restoring a nandroid backup will restore almost everything about your phone, including the underlying OS. This means that if you're in FroYo and restore the nandroid you created when you were in Eclair, the nandroid will restore Eclair along with all your apps and data. This is why you should use Titanium Backup when you are upgrading your OS/bin, but a nandroid backup when you only want to keep the baseband of the new bin or if something bad happens and you need to recover your device. It's a good habit to always create a nandroid backup before installing anything that might have a chance to screw things up, so if things do screw up, you can just restore the nandroid backup you created. Guest LiquidEr Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 so how can i install titanium back up, since i haven't the root?
Guest gwilo Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) You root your phone first with Malez Recovery. Then Nand back up with Malez then Titanium Back up. It should take less than 1 hour to root/back-up/update ROM CHARGE YOUR BATTERY FIRST. Edited December 3, 2010 by gwilo
