Guest TheShak Posted January 8, 2011 Report Share Posted January 8, 2011 I've been messing around with various ways to install this rom and found out some strange quirks... If you want to have the ROM working with full English then 1. Wipe Data/Cache, Dalvik 2. Flash Rom and Eng-lang pack-1d together with no -reboot in between 3. re-boot this will give english on main screen but not on the satus bar pull down menu 4. Boot to recovery 5. Flash again the same language pack yes, then ALL is in english... Hope this helps p.s. I tried to install rom, reboot then flash lang but the main screen apps were still chinese, but the status bar menu was in english Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest cyberwire Posted January 8, 2011 Report Share Posted January 8, 2011 Hey guys, still having problems with the battery. Its always an issue for me on MIUI roms. Downloaded the 1.1.7 Version and applied a german language pack but didnt apply the wifi tether fix. But my battery drain is still around 8% per hour. On LCR i have around 1-2% an hour. I thing in -cache file sysytem there is something more than cache. So never wipe from Malez after flashing..... No no :D For a complete English rom (so without chinese in status bar) you must flash rom and immediatly flash language pack. If you flash rom in chinese, you start phone then you come back in malez recovery and install EN pack will remain some chinese text.
