orange san francisco

Hi just joined.Have purchased Orange San Francisco and tried to follow directions on ridding phone of Orange stuff.My Windows computer will not recognise phone and using command prompt device not found.What proceedure must I follow to

to get computer to recognise phone?Thanks for any help.

Hi all, happy to be here, spend some time reading Android,but yesterday got myself a phone...well for wife really ;) , its lovely white ZTE Blade....

now 16 hours in to the phone and all i did is unlocking :P , tryed to root-no luck there...then the phone is ON and i connect it to computer (Windows Vista) -i see the device...but as soon as i switch to boot mode and connect back to PC-cant see a device . Now ive read everything on this site as regards those issues,find some posts about installing the drivers-didnt work... tryed universal androot-says its rooted,but orange stuff is still there..??

What else should i try?? Tanks for your pation guys...
