Guest nahcartsnai Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 From previous posts it looks like it is possible to use the XDA charger and the XDA charge-n-synch cable. So, by using the iPAQ/XDA accessory adapter mentioned in the following URL it should be possible to use some of the accessories you may already have for the iPAQ such as the Stowaway Keyboard, or better still, to have one cable that can be used to sync and charge the iPAQ, XDA and SmartPhone either from USB or from the car. :D http://www.ppcw.net/stories.php?story=02/11/11/3623684 Unfortunately the adapter only seems to be availabe for the iPAQ 3600 accessories rather than the new 3800/3900 series but I have already asked the manufacturer if they have a new one planned......no answer so far. nahcartsnai
Guest Cent Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 XDA charge-n-synch cable Works like charm .. received mine today :D
Guest adds Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 Cent, Can you tell me where you got the XDA-sync cable? Are you saying that it'll work with the SVP and ActiveSync? I could really do with another sync cable for my SPV to allow me to sync with my work PC without having to bring the cradle in with me each morning! :-) ...Shame I can't get IRDA working with activeSync really! :-) I wait in anticipation!! A.
Guest Cent Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 Hope this helps : http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?sbadd=...-DC&code=XDA-DC Yep it works fine ...
Guest Big Ron - No Longer a Mem Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 In case nobody had noticed, I believe that HTC (who are the OEM manufacturers of the SPV for Orange) are ALSO the OEM manufacturer of the Ipac, which they make for Compaq. "Reinventing the wheel" costs money... I'd be amazed if there wasn't some commonality of components!
