Remove battery from status bar?

Hi,

has anyone managed to remove the battery icon from the status bar? I know you can do this on other android phones, just wondered if anyone has tried the mods on the sanfrancisco. I've been searching around but only found very specific phone mods, so not actually tried any yet.

I thought about just editting the images in the framework for the battery to be extremely small transparent ones, so it has the appearance that it's not there. Not sure if it would space things from the clock, though. There must be just an easy mod, though.
