Firefox Mobile beta on the Blade... a no go!

Just tried it and got a nasty message that my phone doesn't meet the min requirements...

Firefox, really... phones run on ARM cores...no point is calling your app "mobile" if you need a Core 2 Duo processor ;)

Did you install the correct version? As there are 2: One for the "older" processors like the Blade has and one for the newer ones..

We need to use the ARMv6-version: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android#Syst

Try xScope. It's the fastest browser for Android. Works great on my Blade.

Seconded. This is my preferred browser (and I've tried them all!!) but obviously peoples browser preferences is a fairly personal thing. I for instance think Firefox 3.5 is an overrated bloated piece of crap and can't believe people still used it based on a reputation that it hasn't deserved in years. ;) Though 4 is a lot better.

I have installed Fennec for ARMv6, but it closed itself when I open it

Heh Firefox runs faster on Linux :P

Got sick of FF4 betas / alphas as it keeps messing up windows aero

Only reason I wanted Firefox for android in the first place was because it is the only browser to support proxy

Miren is also nice. It took my a long while to choose between Miren and Xscope. Xscope seems better at reformatting forums to fit on the small screen which gave it the edge for me in the end.
