Anyone got one from Pixmania?

Has anyone gotten a Vega from Pixmania, or been given a tracking number or anything to indicate that they will be receiving one?

Having been told twice that mine would be dispatched the next day, it has yet to happen, always being out of stock.

However, I looked at my order this morning to see this...

...and got excited / releaved that it was finally going to be delivered (especially when reading on twitter that all forward orders would be fulfilled).

Unfortunately, I just checked now and it's gone back to this...

...much to my annoyance. I assume I haven't been allocated one, as I have no tracking numbers or confirmation I've been allocated one. *very annoyed*

So has anyone gotten one? Is twitter lying to us about fulfilling all the forward orders?

Two words of advice about that pitiful excuse of a company... DON'T BOTHER!

They are possibly the worst retailer I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. My brother attempted to order TV from them 3 times and failed, always with stock problems.

There is a reason why they are the cheapest...it's because they are poo.

My advice? Cancel your order and order from elsewhere when it comes into stock if you ever want to see a Vega before the next general election.

I 2nd that. i had an order for the vega with them and they cancelled it two days ago claiming not to have it. Best to give them a call, and whilst you're at it place an order with PCW as you are much more likely to actually have it in your hands sometime this year!

Yes, I'm going to place an order elsewhere as would acctually like to get one at some point!

I'm fully expecting that if I do that I'll end up with two though...

I've already ordered again from Currys ;) Goin to cancel pixmania order - if they are this unresponsive on an order I wouldnt like to have to send anything back under warranty :P

I have had nothing but problems with pixmania. Last time I used them I ordered a joystick and throttle for a flight simulator I was setting up. Pixmania said it was in stock and they were one of the few shops to have it and being DSG I thought to give it a go. So I placed my order only to find out that it wasn't really in stock and it would be 6-8 weeks delivery and I couldn't cancel my order because it was in the "processing" phase the whole time. Bunch of cowboys that bypass UK consumer regs because they are a European company.

As an update to this, I rang Pixmania this morning and they gave me a tracking number. I rang DHL to confirm it was real and to find the right bit of the DHL site on which to track it and it is real, and is en route!

According to the DHL guy (and the website) it is now stuck in the Manchester Service Centre due to adverse weather (although it can't be that bad, given that I live in Manchester, and I don't seem to be affected...)

Also, should probably mention that the fact it has been shipped is NOT reflected on the Pixmania website.

Mine from pixmania has now changed to Qty Del. 1. So I guess that means its been delivered to the courier and is also on its way?

If you live near the Depot just go pick it up. I haven't tried it with DHL but have done it with a few other carriers I just went to the reception desk at the depot and picked it up especially if I got it overseas and have to pay customs its easier than waiting to pay it then get it delivered.

I had considered that, but when I rang them and asked if I could pick it up they said it had to go out for delivery first before they would let me have it.

Edit: I rang DHL again and asked what the craic was... apparently "Delayed due to adverse weather" in this instance means it's still in big container at the depot and hasn't been unpacked / sorted, however the person I spoke to said it should be ok to collect it once that's been done.

Mines out for delivery. Yay!

I hope that DHL can acctually find the building this time... (Not going to say where I live, but suffice to say, it's rather large)
