Guest scaryt Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 (edited) UPDATE: I've solved the 3G problem and edited that out... But still can't download from the market place. Off to search the forums again. ;) Can do everything on my lovely phone but can't download any apps. This is really frustrating. All I've done is unlocked the phone and set APN settings, nothing else. WHY won't it do this. Have gone into applications and tried the force stop but then some advice was to clear data but it didn't give me that option only clear clache (which I tried but still nothing). Please HEEEEELP! :P Edited December 6, 2010 by scaryt
Guest scaryt Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 If I reinsert my orange sim would that help or would it mess up my apn settings? Would the apps still be there when I change the sim, assuming they would be as they wouldn't be saved to the sim?

What messege do you get when download fails?
Guest scaryt Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Have you tried downloading by using wifi? What messege do you get when download fails? Yes, I have tried on wifi, it just stays at starting download.
Guest pvtcody Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Have you tried to make a gmail.com account (not googlemail). I had the same problem with googlemail someone said make a gmail one and that worked.
Guest jchamier Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Yes, I have tried on wifi, it just stays at starting download. I had that yesterday, and so did my mate with a grey SF, both using my Wifi (BE broadband). I then tried my 3 MiFi unit, made no difference. So I rebooted my phone, and it started working!
Guest Skillganon Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Go to your PC, log on your google account change it to gmail. Do a factory reseton mob. When you ask you first to log in use your [email protected] account with 3G not wifi. Then see if you can download something. I had that problem. Mines unlocked and using T-Mob

Mines unlocked and using T-Mob I decided that this must be what I need to do BUT stupid me. Didn't write down the apn settings I had for t mobile before doing the factory reset now it keeps telling me that my data connection has failed. B****er. Which now means I'm further back than I was. Any chance you could tell me what yours are, I've done a search but not come up with what I need.
