Hello Folks.

That is the deal. I bought one htc here, and it came with a bizarre rom on it. It came with the application rom manager, so I decided to try news roms. The third rom I installed using rom manager, my phone reboot as normal is does after a rom instalattion, then it entered in the htc blank page and then it got all black.

I funny thing is that is working. I receive notifications, people call me and it rings, but all the screen is black.

I didn't any backup.

The Hboot, the thing when you turn on your phone with the volume presses works, but when I press to recovery, it get stuck on the htc logo screen.

I have read a lot and tried a lot of things. There is this article from the TheUnlockr.com - Cell Phone How To's, Phone Reviews, and Wireless News! to load custom roms, it was working quite good. I manage to get the hboot usb plug working and entered in this green characters panel. After that I manage to wipe data factory and dalvik cache, but then the tutorial tell me to scroll to apply.zip. But nothings like that appear on the menu.

lets go to the precions infos.

My htc desire is the model a8181 and the room I tried to download was that one r3.1 ROM with default MoDaCo.

Please... please...please... I am totally newbie in this area. I am killing myslf to solve this problem because here in Brazil this phone is very expansive

The problem you're describing sounds to me that you have a SLCD screen and you've flashed a rom ment for AMOLED screens.

There are two models of Desire with different screens.

Is recovery (Clockwork, AmonRa) working now since you have a working screen now?

If yes did you try to install another rom?

If no did you try runing unrevoked and installing another rom?
