ZTE Blade = LAG FEST for gaming!!

I'm running sebastians r4 rom...

But can some one explain to me why all games are so laggy! Literally Angry birds is just an absolute lag fest, so irritating. Same with abduction. Not all of the levels but a lot of them, small sounds cut outs too. Why is it so bad? My htc hero had worse hardware and never lagged during gaming? Can anyone help?

lol, one word "Froyo"

JIT & HWUI does wonders for your phone. U'll be able to run even Ashpalt 5 No Lag & Angry Birds too.

i never get any lag with 2.1 MDC on Abduction 1/2 ...

Maybe its also the res. The blade has 800x480, hero has 480x320.

I had no problems using angry birds with the stock SF rom. I guess you have to run less widgets or background processes or something else might eating your CPU. I have played abduction even on my Touch Diamond with Eclair and Froyo with no lag. And that phone is 528 MHz and 192 RAM.

It's the adverts in angry birds that make it unplayable, turn off wifi and try again.

Hungarian version is laggy even without adverts...

I run a slim Froyo and it lags only in complex levels (no advertising),

quiet often, though.

In this case I just have to be patient at the beginnig (5-10sec) - then it flows smooth

needs time to load all infos I guess

Most of these games run what I would call ok on my Blade, even with nothing running and very little else installed, I wouldn't say any of them run really well IMO, but I guess how a game runs is subjective...

Level 21 on "Poached Eggs" is very slow even on FroYo, but otherwise it's pretty playable.
