Guest Raspa Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 The white SF has never had a OLED screen in the UK, the listing is incorrect.

Hence the usual inclusion of standard terms about "the right to make product specification alterations and improvements" ... Nevertheless, Distance Selling Regs, a fortnight to send it back if you don't like it ...
Guest thomas01155 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Wouldn't trust play.com with a pinch of salt. A lot of their listings are wrong.
Guest steve1221 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Wouldn't trust play.com with a pinch of salt. A lot of their listings are wrong. Play are great for just cut 'n pasting from a description that's close and getting it wrong by degree. As above, I wouldn't trust anything on their site to be right until I had it in my hand. I had a problem with a DVD a year back, they'd just take the info from one version and stuck it on the one they were selling and it was completely wrong. They said they'd change it, but a year later it's still the same !
Guest Grexeo Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 (edited) Play.com is absolutely filled with items available for "Pre Order" that they never get in stock. Play.com staff search the net for hyped up products, add them to the site, and their automated system automatically pushes the release date back by 2 weeks once the advertised release date has passed. This continues forever until (if) a staff member removes the product from the site. It's a genius idea for their business - people keep coming back to the site, perhaps multiple times a day, to check on the status of their pre-order, and end up seeing hundreds of other products in the process. Eventually they'll get fed up and order an alternative product, probably from Play.com. I echo Thomas's comment above; don't trust Play.com with a pinch of salt. Edited December 6, 2010 by Grexeo
