Guest Lemaru Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Hi I have just had to reflash my Blade as it was stuck in a boot loop, i'm imagining its due to havng added a2sd a few days ago as thats all i have changed recently. Having just reflashed, and restoring my apps with titanium i have nopticed three apps that I cannot remember seeing before, these are: Chipertest 1.0 com.android.qcnvtest 2.1-update1 fcctest 1.0 Does anyone have any ideas on what these are? Also can they be safely removed? Any info much appreciated Thanks Lemaru
Guest targetbsp Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 (edited) From other threads on here, chipertest (something to do with chinese) and fcctest (an emissions test app) can be removed. I'm also curious about qcnvtest.apk And would also like to question qualcommsettings.apk and omadrmprovider.apk. Any ideas about those anyone please? I found this which is quite informative: http://www.market4android.com/stock-android-2-1-apps-list. None of the above are listed as standard google apps. Edited December 6, 2010 by targetbsp
Guest Rem1x Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Qualcomm means it will relate to the chipset/cpu/gpu in some way, so it would not be there in stock android.

Hmm well the i went ahead and removed all three as looking at some of the other roms they dont appear to be in there... no problems so far
Guest Lew247 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Why did you flash the early version of 2.2 with those bits in when the latest version not only doesn't have them in but also has lots of fixed for problems in found in the rom you flashed?

I haven't flashed 2.2.. i flashed the Modaco R4 rom... the original R4 i had installed was the prebake (no a2sd) and didnt have any of those apps in it. As a2sd died and i got stuck in a boot loop I reflashed a kitchen baked R4 with a2sd already in it, but this seems to have these apps?
