Ordered from Currys Thurs 2nd Dec?

I've been trying to get confirmation of my order since Thursday morning when they initially claimed they were awaiting CC validation. When I phoned the CC co in the afternoon they claimed it had validated at same time the order was placed.. BS #1 from Currys. Two subsequent emails via Currys website have been completely ignored BS #2. Waited patiently until today, just spent 15 mins on the phone only to be given more BS... "never was any stock", "twitter lying", "backorders have been sent out", "adverse weather conditions", blah-de-blah. I even had to argue to get my specific order checked rather than be quoted over and over again from a std email that must have been sent to all call centre staff.

Later today I intend to write a strongly worded letter of complaint to DSG about their appalling customer service. It would help to know the status of orders placed at the same time from Currys. Reply here or PM me. Thanks.

Ordered 8:55am Thursday. Immediate confirmation mail followed by 2 further mails 5 minutes later. The product is on my desk in front of me having been delivered at 3. Sorry you didn't have such a smooth ride....

similar for me - ordered Thursday last week got the confirmation emails straight away then it was delivered by DHL on Sunday afternoon (didn't know they delivered on Sundays but I think they were working through a backlog caused by the snow)

Sounds like when you had the CC validation issue the stock wasn't allocated for you - not good really is it - there does seem to be a lack of communication when things go wrong via DSG.

there are a lot of people moaning about stock issues and orders disappearing over on this hotukdeals thread HUKD

I have the same issue as dwok, but no cc validation issue here. Got a forward order mail on the Thursday after my confirmation, and got ran around on the phone to Currys today - Same BS, and that it takes 2 days for stock to show etc etc. I'm getting a bit annoyed now, especially since they have had payment since Thursday.

I think I'll give them a few more days then dispute the item with my CC provider - That paperwork may encourage them to stop feeding me BS

Now I'm really confused. After my little chat with currys at 1330 this afternoon, I've just received a tracking mail saying it was picked up just after 12 today. God only knows what was on there system

Ordered 4th got it 7th at 5.30pm... never got an email saying it was on its way and cs say maybe next week.. shows what they know about their own orders

Ordered on the 3rd from Currys, no email confirmations, money taken. Email sent to CS ignored! Contacted CS twice same BS, then told item out of stock so why have they taken my money.

Checked my email address with them twice and they said there may be a problem with my email, it was correct both times, it's funny how I can receive sales emails from them :)

They promised to call me to advise me how things were proceding, guess what NOTHING!! I will be taking this further, just deciding which route.

I feel better now I've got this off my chest :)

Thanks for all the replies. I was on the phone to them for an hr yesterday before I finally got passed to someone who actually appeared to check my order rather than regurgitate the party line. Mysteriously, despite CC validating at the time the order was placed, it did not "appear" on their system for over 7 hrs! Still another mystery is why it was then not fulfilled from Saturdays stock. Their answer to that was to deny there had been any stock at all! Every conversation I have had with their rep's eventually degenerated into them *challenging* me to prove that other people had received goods even though they ordered after me. Last night one kind member of this forum supplied order numbers that I could use to do this. So last night, having also got same story as others re email, I changed my email address on Currys then sent their CS an email with the info. Today... nothing, nada, not a single reply to this or any other emails. I'm simply no longer surprised at just how bad they treat their customers.

Woooo! Finally arrived today out of the blue at 12 noon on a Saturday.

having same problem. ordered December 4th, was called the 5th to say it would be sent, nothing has come, just called the call centre (which is horrible!) and they said it would be sent weds. took my money quick enough though.... Grrr
