Guest AndyHibberd Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Nothing major and personally I'm not too hot about the green/black scheme. http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-2.3-highlights.html Andy
Guest The-One Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Nothing major and personally I'm not too hot about the green/black scheme. http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-2.3-highlights.html Andy Well there is a multitouch keyboard for default now on Android, its a nice feature. ;)
Guest AndyHibberd Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Most third-party k/bs have been doing this for a while now. Fair point though.
Guest Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 wifi hotspot, better battery life, access to more audio things, possibly might let you record phonecalls using apps now with the other person's voice instead of just you. Lots of very nice improvements, especially front facing camera support, now we can have video calling, shame there is no front facing camera on the san fran.
Guest 90180360 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Also, finally a native VOIP/SIP client from what I've heard! ;)
Guest Lollingsgrad Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Given there's a chance 2.2 won't be officially released on the Blade (in the UK at least), do we fancy our chances?
Guest Quicklite Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 The thing is, updates are being rolled out now for Nexus One, maybe its possible to ... mod it onto SF afterall? http://www.engadget.com/2010/12/06/android...xus-one-owners/
Guest The-One Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Well, if we can port Cyanogen i bet we can have 2.3 features for sure.. ;)
Guest JamRad Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 So how long do you reckon until we get this? Unofficially of course ;)
Guest The-One Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 (edited) Depends.. for example i tryed to build the actual Cyanogen sources to our Blade and there were alot of things that didnt work out of the box.. there is alot of work to do, you have to rewrite most things. Tbh im a bit out of time to work on this kind of things right now with school and stuff, but i bet TomG is already porting it and we will see a beta version poping out soon! ;) Edited December 6, 2010 by The-One

Guest AndyHibberd Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 I heard Cyanogen are making a 2.2 for the Blade...Anyone confirm this?
Guest Frankish Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 I heard Cyanogen are making a 2.2 for the Blade...Anyone confirm this? Are you sure? If they don't have Froyo source for the Blade how are they managing this?
Guest Shadey1 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Does this class as confirming it? Not the most definative but I'll take it. http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/7977-po...6402#entry96402
