Sooo... I've just installed fastboot and clockworkmod on my LCD TFT San Fran... now I'm thinking what ROM should I install? Don't think there's a Froyo build compatible ROM yet? Anyway, I'd be grateful for any suggestions, the orange crap has to go tonight as it's giving me a headache ;) Thanks in advance. I'm in the UK

I'm running Sebastian's latest beta release (P729BV1.0.0B03-20101203.152754-update-signed.zip) available for download at http://android.podtwo.com/roms/beta/ which is derived from the latest Finnish ROM and has a TFT-specific kernel.

Can somebody post an easy method of de-branding (or just getting rid of all of the orange apps) that is guaranteed to work on the TFT model? I'd like to install some custom roms as well, but can wait until more of the experts have had a chance to play around with the new model. But the bloatware is killing me, don't feel like I can really get the android experience until its gone and I can customise how I want it. I'm new to this, by the way, bought this phone as an introduction to android, hoping to learn a lot as I go, so the simpler the better!

I've run both Sebastian's and the Frankdroid and can confirm they both worked on my TFT

Is there a Thread on this forum (owned by Sebastian) for this rom - where is it?

Thanks for the responses. Are there any known issues with running clockwork or rooting the phone on the TFT, or should any of the guides listed on this site work? It makes sense that it would only be the roms that potentially cause problems, but thought I saw a post recently where somebody said that they experienced problems just from rooting.

Easy but not really de-branding: install launcher Pro and set as default home app and customize it with your apps and links and own wallpaper. All the orange rubish will be in still in your phone but you will not see it.

Other option: root the phone and use Titanium Backup to uninstall everything you do not like (there are several post explaining this quite well).

My Guide Covers TFT - just make sure you get the 2.5.0.9 version of clockwork

And pick a ROM which is TFT tested

Ah sorry it seem gloaty : I am just pleased - However it does highlight that there are still some out there - waiting to be purchased from the highstreet.

Still I would have bought the TFT one if it was the only one they had.
