Guest joshka89 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 I've seen a lot of example pictures taken with the Captivate, and they look really nice. However, most of the time the pictures I've taken with my Captivate are pretty low quality. The most noticeable problem is that the pictures look like they're laying behind a screen door. here are some of the ones I've taken: http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs734.snc4/65444_10150095976909878_698104877_7351163_3364003_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs561.ash2/148370_495613899877_698104877_7162782_295627_n.jpg http://l8.sphotos.l3.fbcdn.net/hphotos-l3-ash2/hs472.ash2/74518_493013254877_698104877_7139142_598093_n.jpg ANd here are a couple that are from others' phones: http://www.androidcentral.com/sites/androidcentral.com/files/articleimage/684/2010/07/captivate-screens/captivate-camera-test-4.jpg http://www.androidcentral.com/sites/androidcentral.com/files/articleimage/684/2010/07/captivate-screens/captivate-camera-test-1.jpg As you can see, mine look terrible in comparison. Anyone have any ideas why and/or a fix to this issue?
Guest john306 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Well your photos are coming up as 0.3mp 640x480 The "other" phones you linked are 4.9mp 2560x1920 Indoors are never going to be great on a phone camera. You have presumably set for 5mp and superfine, and taken the protective film off the lens? Just asking ;)

It is now on max, and I"m about to upload it to Facebook to see if it looks better.
