how to dump stock rom

Hi,

I get my SF from swiss this week.

before i play with custom roms, how to extract the original stock rom ?

and how can it be flashed again?

i am new to android, but have some unix knowledge.

of course i can provide the rom for downloading aswell.

any hint and idea is welcome!
