Guest griff_dai Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Had my Vega delivered today. It's my Christmas present and she is flatly refusing me to get it out and check its working! How mean is that!!!!!!!! I said that I would be miffed if I get it out and find it's dead on Xmas day, but to no avail :P Any ideas on how to convince I need to check the goods??? ;)
Guest JingleManSweep Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Any ideas on how to convince I need to check the goods??? ;) Long distance selling regulations only apply for 7 days, so it should be checked to see if it works within this period. However, you could at least let your girlfriend do the checking (with your guidance) at the very least. This would avoid any disappointment on Christmas morning when you find out your Vega was defective and out of its return period. I think you should settle for her unboxing it, switching it on and showing you a couple of screens. I think that is fair.

Personally I think you shoul;d get her to download and install Paul's performance pack "just to test" everything's working..... lol - My G/F wouldn't buy it, (not by a long shot), but always worth a try ;o) Prob more chance stating she'll have wasted £250 if you find out on Xmas morning that it doesn't work..... Good luck m8!!

My Vega is unopened and wrapped in Chrissie paper so I also cannot test/play 'til 25th!! If it does not work I shall simply walk into Currys with box & receipt and ask for another! The 7day distance selling is simply to cover you for changing your mind after goods arrive - not for faulty goods.
