Just tried it, but ask for an .efs backup that i don't have. If someone can share a backup from on unlock phone.

My Liquid is still lock after flash process.

Found a SIM_SECURE partition in partition.mbn. The libril-acer-1.so check for a /system/etc/acer-ril.conf. If the file is here, it will write sim lock on SIM_SECURE with FEATURE_DATA info from acer-ril.conf

But on flash process, amss.mbn check if it's already lock or not :

if yes, it doesn't overwrited

It's what i think. I need to find a way to flash the partition.mbn manually.

This method works for older simlock method, this doesn't work anymore for Rogers/Fido or Liquid Metal.

Already play a lot with this tool, and with QXDM and PSAS too.

But the phone have to be in diagnostic state to use most fonctionnality of those apps, and i don't know how to enter in this mode.

And looks like we need specifics drivers too.

I have try it when i boot to Malez's recovery, and it can connect and reconize the phone.

But i didn't try to flash any thing, just for your information.

the simlock is really verrrrry hard to slove.

even the buying a simlock code, no working..

Ok, found that in recovery the phone is correctly detected by QPST as diagnostics device, but can't flash mbn file, still got an error :)

Select Multi-image Tab

Assign acer download tool exetract folder to Image Folder

Boot System Select "Sec Boot 2.0"

then you can click Advanced Button to chose which file to flash

I think it looks like you can flash the amss.mbn, but i don't have a nerve to try it :)

Yep i tried that, QPST reboot the phone in download mode, and after the phone is no more detected.

Or it says me that it connot find the flash programm

After reading thread again I realized that you need to flash partition.mbn manually or modify amss.mbn.

Sorry for stupidity :) Maybe mcboy can help with amss.mbn check.
