oficial upgrade to 2.2?

maybe someone know

is possible to upgrade from 1.6 to 2.2 oficial o2 fw?

i ask because today when i call to o2 some lady told me that everythink what i need to upgrade is: setings - about phone - system updates.

just now i have 2.1 in my device and maybe must to downgrade, and then can upgrade to oficial o2 2.2?
