Guest El Nino9 Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Hello all, firstly i am not a noob despite the amount of posts i have done on this site ;) nor am i an advance lean mean android machine like a few on this site :P but i do know my stuff. but this thing about my new blade is bugging me like hell. i have two blades (not boasting) the original OLED one is being sent to a family member abroad as they would like it you see :P but i will carry on with my question. i received the new TFT Blade with orange B08 firmware. now i noticed a folder being created on the SD CARD called z71. i find the highly strange as the OLED one never created it. so i deleted this folder. i even changed my rom to my own custom one based on the Tmobile version with the kernel of the orange one remaining and i still keep getting that folder. i would like to know if anyone has any further information regarding this. i may feel brave and try cyanogenmod 6.1 for the z71 on our devices lol but thats the line im trying to aim at with no disrespect to TomG. it would be the easiest way to get a 2.3 rom for the near future imo with a few extras to the official source.
Guest Rem1x Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 The z71 is the Orange Boston, ie: Not the Blade. Heck, give it a try, you can't really lose any thing.

I also believe that on the next reboot you will get z71, and then z72, and then z73... etc.... Tho I am high as a kite on flu medication, so I'm not 100% sure about that right now..
