Dead already?

Just got my phone this evening.

I charged it up via the mains. I played about with it for a while then tried to turn it off via the switch at the top, but it never worked or gave me the option to so I removed the battery. Now the phone wont turn on at all and just shows a black screen.

Is it bricked before Ive even tried to flash it? ;)

Doesnt sound good can you get into boot or ftm mode with power on. Plus vol + or -

My advice would be pull the battery for 10 mins the put it back in and charge it for a good few hours.

The red light usually means it needs charging.

It sounds like the power button itself isn't working.

Try taking off the back case and press the tiny inner power button with your nail. If that works, put the case back on fully so that the outer button is correctly aligned with the inner button, and try again. If either of these steps fails, I recommend asking for a replacement.

charge it for an hour. red means empty.

you need to keep the button pressed for a short while, until the phone starts vibrating.

if you only tap it, phone wont turn on, but the lights will flash.

I presume he means it lights up when charging.
