I have been using Streamfurious on my Nexus, and once installed, if you go to a website with a live stream, you can click the link and choose to open it in Streamfurious. It will then remember it from then on. However you can do it the old fashioned way and just point the app to the url. There is a free version and a paid version, although I find the free version does everything I need it too. I hope this helps.
Guest JingleManSweep Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 XiiaLive is quite good. I use it without issue.
Guest dazzawright Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 TuneIn Radio works like a charm for me.
Guest debs626 Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 I've tried a few and WunderRadio seems to be the best for me. Lets me add an url Via "play URL" in the Menu ...... buffers up for about 20/30 seconds but once the stream is playing it's never buffered ;) The only niggle I have with it is the Now Playing screen isnt much to look at and is stuck in portrait mode but I can live with that :P
Guest markinton Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 TuneIn Radio works like a charm for me. is second Tune In Radio. don't think you can copy a stream url to it but the search and browse functionality is excellent. I've never failed to find a station it also aggregates podcasts.

Guest damuffinman Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 I purchased RadioTime, works like a breeze on both my Desire and Vega ;)

Not sure it is quite the same with the vega (still waiting for mine to be delivered - waiting on *?!% DHL), but on other froyo devices you can change the wifi sleep policy. Under setting | wireless & networks | wifi settings press menu. You should get an advanced option with Wifi sleep policy in it. You can then set wifi not to switch off when plugged in, screen on or never. Things may be slightly different with the vega but this is true for pretty much any vanilla Froyo. Big fan of tune in myself (& grooveshark via skyfire)... B
Guest rferrett Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 +1 to TuneIn radio from me. Tis triffic!

Guest trevor432990 Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Used to think Tune-in Radio was the best but for some reason it lost my station presets a few days after installing it and can't get them back :)
Guest remlap Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Wow never thought there be so much interest in this. With the dock in production according to @AdventVega this may turn out another neat use for it.
Guest drdexter Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 is anyone else getting a hiss through headphones, predominantly in the left ear? wondering if my sound board is faulty

No power policy, or at least I cant find it.
Guest remlap Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 Just an update I like TuneIn Radio, no need to add URL's its found all the stations I wanted :)
Guest surly cat Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 RadioTime, because it's best in class. It works perfectly on the Vega, has a great UI, and finds almost every radio station on earth! It's also the paid version of TuneIn Radio. Paul's using it, enough said.

TuneIn radio for now has no ads so I am happy with it :) Also like the fact you can go online to customise your station presets.
