English UK language problem

Long time member , smalltime poster looking for a bit of advice . On Saturday i purchased a used white Desire. This is not the first Desire...or Android handset ive owned and i have never come across this issue before......anyway today i accepted the OTA update and all went as planned. I then rooted the handset and after was looking in settings and went into language and Keyboard.....i noticed the language was set to English (Poland) so i went in to change to English UK and the the only English languages listed are all Eastern European variants ( Latvian Estonian Czech etc). i Then decided to try a rooted update zip of the latest WWE rom and still no English UK language available. My wifes brown Desire running the latest update has English UK as an option......Anybody have any ideas ?

download and install more locale 2 from appbrain. Problem solved :-)

Why would an unbranded hadset not show English UK as a language option though ?

I had that same problem with my rom. I have a lot of languages including my language (Slovenian) but then I wiped the phone because of an issue I needed to fix and the only languages that were available were different versions of English and Slovakian languages. The odd thing is that more locale changed my menu back to Slovenian language so it's there but for some reason it wasn't listed.

I guess it's just some small bug or a minor error.
