Guest Curtiss1 Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 (edited) Hi everyone. It is my first topic in modaco's forums and it is not for a good thing :x I bought my zte blade 2 days ago ( ho yeah ! ), it is a french one, bouygue telecom. It is a good phone, but i was sure i can do more with it ... by putting a 2.2 rom. It is my first android phone so i am a noob, and that confirm it. I did everythings i had to do put the g2 2.2 rom, i installed clockwork, i wipe the phone and installed the roms ( i wont tell everythings i do, i followed the guide :) ) And... then... the reboot. I let it 1hour and 30 minutes, it didnt boot, and i had two problems : The first, the boot picture is a zte picture, not a bugdroid. The second, it doesnt boot and i dont know what to do :x I tried to put off the battery and reboot while pressing the - button, a FTM appear. Can you help me please ? Ho, dont tell me i broke it, please, dont tell it :x Thank you if you help me :x Edited December 10, 2010 by Curtiss1

Guest StevenHarperUK Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 It appears that you have somehow installed the ZTE Recovery app over the boot Part of the Phone Anyone know a way out of this?

Guest cobhc Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 (edited) It appears that you have somehow installed the ZTE Recovery app over the boot Part of the Phone Anyone know a way out of this? Well he said it stays at the android screen when he boots with the volume + held which is the bootloader, so I'm sure he could run fastboot and flash over the boot.img and recovery.img again? Guest MDCFan Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 (edited) I guess fastboot still works. So you can try this: 1. Download superboot and recovery here: http://www.mediafire.com/?c31qp8q762ybd73 and extract rar archive. 2. Hold + and power. Hold it for about 5 seconds. Your phone should show green android. 3. Connect the phone to computer and install drivers if asked. 4. Run flash.bat from the archive you have extracted. Press <Enter> to flash Wait for flashing to finish 5. Once your phone reboots take out and insert the battery. 6. Hold - and power until you boot into recovery. 7. Do what you need from recovery (flash ROM or restore backup). Yes thats right... Hold down the + on boot and it should get stuck on the android Plug in your phone (USB to Computer) RE-DOWNLOAD THE CLOCKWORK FILE recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.9-modaco-r2-blade.img then run the fast boot command fastboot-windows flash recovery recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.9-modaco-r2-blade.img After you have done this fastboot-windows reboot Then BOOT with the - key In recovery choose the MOUNT USB The Phones SD will mount on your computer Copy the ROM onto the Phone Then Update the ROM using the menu Choose the 5th item "install zip fom sdcard" Choose the 2nd item "choose zip from sdcard" Edited December 9, 2010 by StevenHarperUK

Guest Curtiss1 Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 I already try to boot while pressing "+" and nothing happened :/ I'll do that StevenHarperUK and i come back if there is a problem !

Merci AJ
Guest MDCFan Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 (edited) Wait : Is that Superboot TFT friendly??? Would it make much difference if you need only need to boot recovery? I already try to boot while pressing "+" and nothing happened :/ I'll do that StevenHarperUK and i come back if there is a problem ! What do you mean by nothing happened? Screen should stay at green Android. Edited December 9, 2010 by MDCFan
Guest admanirv Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 I think the guy needs to basically flash the 'stock rom' to begin with using clkworkrecovery, wiping the data/cache?
Guest Curtiss1 Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Would it make much difference if you need only need to boot recovery? What do you mean by nothing happened? Screen should stay at green Android. Yes it stay :) StevenHarper, do you mean the original rom or the custom ?
Guest MDCFan Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 (edited) Yes it stay :) StevenHarper, do you mean the original rom or the custom ? Then connect your phone to PC and flash recovery using fastboot just like StevenHarperUK said. After that you should be able to get into clockworkmod recovery instead of FTM mode. Yes its VERY important Is their a GREEN ANDROID when you hold + when booting When you have a GREEN Android then the fastboot commands will work The FASTBOOT command will let you change the RECOVERY part of the phone Then you can Flash the ROM - This includes a NEW BOOT part of the phone and the new ROM itsself Edited December 9, 2010 by StevenHarperUK
