Guest Cronnix Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 (edited) Hey all, I just installed 2.2 alpha, and faced some trouble with it. I first made an ext partition (552mb) with GParted on the 2gb sd, for a2sd, then downloaded w.w alpha and placed the zip in the root of the sd. After I wiped user and dalvik data, I selected "install update.zip" from clockwork, it took about 2 minutes. However, then the trouble came. When I boot up, I got stuck at modaco log for several minutes, then it switched to "phone is locked" screen saying it can't detect any sim, then back to modaco for 15 sec, then back to locked screen, and now keeps that loop up. The "locked screen" aint responding, and the "back" button keeps flashing with red Any ideas what I done wrong? Edited December 9, 2010 by Cronnix
Guest StevenHarperUK Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 (edited) Did you try Factory Reset in CLOCKWORK? Also the FAT32 Partition MUST be first THEN the EXT2 Edited December 9, 2010 by StevenHarperUK
Guest Cronnix Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Did you try Factory Reset in CLOCKWORK? Also the FAT32 Partition MUST be first THEN the EXT2 I only have "delete all user data" under factory reset in clockwork. I did queue FAT to change its size first, then EXT to be created, however they both were done in one queue, maybe that was the problem?

If your on LINUX you can user GPARTED - OR make a BOOT CD In Gparted you see the order easily.

Guest Cronnix Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Fire it back up : have a look I formatted the SD, made a fat32 partition, then after it was complete added a EXT partition. Flashed the ROM again, same result. Loops between unresponsive phone lock screen which is saying sim is missing, and the modaco logo :) Duno really what the heck Im doing wrong.

Guest Cronnix Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 (edited) Problem solved, got a tip that sim enabled pincode caused the issue. Works now :) (thanks Quu!) Edited December 10, 2010 by Cronnix
