Guest That-Guy Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Just wondering what the best app is for taking Screen Shots on Android? I know you can do it with the SDK but don't want to install the SDK just to take screen shots :) Thanks in Advance
Guest Rem1x Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Get the SDK, it'll come in handy. But if you really can't be bothered, shootme works pretty well!

I know you can do it with the SDK but don't want to install the SDK just to take screen shots :) Thanks in Advance By far this - http://www.appbrain.com/app/screenshot/com...soft.screenshot You open the app, select a timer (5secs - 40secs) and hit Take Screenshot. Then go to the desired shot before the timer ends. It also has the shake phone feature, which you can disable. Can save as Low Quality (JPEG), High Quality (PNG) or Uncompressed (BMP). Obviously you will need to rotate the screenshot, which you can do with Photoshop Express from your phone. Requires root. Edited December 9, 2010 by Guest
Guest weba Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 (edited) I would suggest checking out MyPhoneExplorer if you're on Windows but won't have the SDK. I've been using it for a while and it's pretty much a wrapper for adb, so pulling/pushing files, screenshots (with a live preview no less - but slow refresh) and other neat stuff like SMS, calendar and phonebook sync/archiving is included. Killer app in my opinion, and very lightweight. Edited December 9, 2010 by weba
Guest That-Guy Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 OK using Screenshot and it works well: Only problem is in the Gallery App I see 2 screen shot folders but there is only actually one on the SD Card. Any Ideas?
Guest That-Guy Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Also looking at that screen shot above the gap above the flip clock is missing and there is no margin on the right, maybe its not such a good app lol.
Guest Flumpster Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 I use that exact same app to take all my screenshots and never once had your problem.

How strange, wonder why I am getting problems? ShootMe is good: I think I have used this one in the past, is it the one where you use your web browser to access the images? If so does it save them to the SD Card?
