SF/ZTE screen goes black, failed to light again

Hi all,

I just flashed my SF following the instructions on this page http://androidforums.com/san-francisco-all...custom-rom.html

it worked fine but now my screen failed to come back to life. If I take the battery out, put it back in, its ok, but once the screen timesout for powersave, i don't seem to be able to get it tp light up again.

Would anyone have any suggestions? I just got the phone today:-(

just flash another rom.

maybe you flashed one for OLED and your SF is TFT.

Yep. Sounds like an incorrect ROM or a bad one. Check the MD5 checksum when you download it to make sure it hasnt been corrupted if your still worried.

I'm on BladeVillain at the moment and that works fine, music plays a little choppy but it doesnt freeze. Just keep trying one that works for you.

100% sure that here is used ROM for OLED and he's using TFT phone... (made same mistake myself)

So when flashing new ROM to phone make sure it will work also on TFT screen. There is mentioned now if ROM supports OLED and/or TFT

Thanks to all for the replies, I will try another ROM later today. Just out of interest have any of you got 2.2 working on a SF with a TFT screen?

I ve got the same problem.I tried clockwork recovery method and superboot method with paul's custom rom alpha 3 & 4. Still the same issue. Screen goes blank as "um110030" has said in the post. My screen is TFT.Any help would be appreciated.Thx

Update:

Working now after installing clockwork recovery and Customised BladeVillain 1.1.0 FAT RLS3.
