Guest mjgreen81 Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 Hi all, Need some help please! About 6 months ago I installed Android 2.1 on my Pulse following guides etc on this forum...I cannot remeber anything about the particular methods I used. I recently got an HTC desire and was planning on giving my Pulse to a family member. I choose to do a 'factory reset' on the phone as the description said that it would only delete data, not any software updates etc. Bit of a mistake I think as now my phone just falshes the word 'Pulse' and fails to boot up. I have had a look through the forums and can boot to the blue screen by holding the down volume and red button, but from there I am stuck! Can someone help me fix the phone please? I dont need any of the data etc so I can start from fresh if needs be. I dont even mind going back to 1.6 (although would prefer if it has 2.1). Thanks in advance!
Guest Ellia Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 Have a look at this (http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile-pulse-pulse-modaco-com/311809/the-ultimate-pulse-owners-guide/#entry1318838). Breaking the Pulse isn't as easy as it looks :).
Guest mjgreen81 Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 Hi there, thanks for the help but I have tired the official 1.5 update. Everything seemed to work fine, it installed it and confirmed that the update was installed but then when I restarted, it was exactly the same....just tuck on the pulsating 'pulse' boot screen. Any ideas what I sould try next?
Guest mjgreen81 Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 oh wait, after installing the December update it looks like it might be working now....just booting...
