Have s+off but no root privilege

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the VISIONary app (R14)

I installed it to my MT4G and after several tries got a temp root. I had at the time su rights with terminal.

I then did a perminant root and when I did a hboot I get:

GLACIER PVT ENG S-OFF

which is what I want but now I no longer have superuser rights and VISIONary hangs if I run it again. (or at least after 20 min does not have a root)

I also do not have a super user app. And Titanium backup will not run.

All I am trying to do is get rid of the bloat ware that T-mobile puts on the phone, and maybe have option to later put on a custom ROM.

I'm good with Ubuntu and Linux but this thing has got me stumped. Any advice?

Hey, I am having similar problem with my HTC Desire. It's S-OFF but I can't get it rooted. The unrevoked software obtains root but in the same process gets the 'Validation Error: Backup CID is missing' and then reboots the phone without root.

Do you know any solution?
