video stream and wifi location

hi guys

had my vega for 1 day now and have to say thanks to paul and his hack i am loving it.

just have a couple of questions:-

1 what app do you use to stream videos from my pc via wifi to the vega (i have tried androvlc which finds the files on my network extreamly quickly but when i click to play it just displays a blank screen )

2 how can i set my location via wifi like some weather apps require ( my ipod touch works from my wifi because i registered with something called skyhook and told it my location.)is there anything like this for android or can you recomend a weather app where i can input my location manually?

Hello .... might be worth trying the search feature of this forum as there have been a few topics already about video streaming the most prolific of which is this one. As for the weather apps it depends what features you want so you may need to elaborate for us? The basic weather app under 'News & Weather' when you've applied Pauls rom pack has the ability for you to set location by postcode have you tried that yet?
