Guest glemmy Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 Perhaps I'm the only one with this problem, too quiet seems to be more common. :) I like to listen to music while studying in a completely quiet room. The problem is that the music is too loud, even on the lowest volume. Any ideas? I don't want to change headphones since I like everything about them. External volume control? Rather not :) An app perhaps? Searched and installed a few but none of them let me "lower below the lowest". It's stock so far, got it a few days ago.

Do you have the Swedish version of the phone with the 5mp camera? It's entirely possible that ZTE or the operator have added a volume boost to the phone. I have never see any app or files that can reduce the volume output. Do your headphones not have inline volume control? Edited December 10, 2010 by flibblesan

Unfortunately no inline volume control on the headphones. I've seen lots of complaints about low volume, not loud :)
Guest Magnets Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 (edited) I use music player, which has a built-in volume control. It basically sets it's 100% as whatever you currently have on, meaning you can adjust it all the way down to silence. Just put media volume on around 15-20% then open up media player -> preferences -> volume and take it down. Edited December 10, 2010 by Magnets
Guest wtel Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 I got the same problem with my own earphone. It becomes normal when I use the original one that came with the handset.
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 i use the earphone which came with the nokia 2730 (phone is scrap the screen is broken) because you can change the volume go to next or previous track directly from the earphone

Guest dragon2611 Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 There may be a minimum voltage required to drive the amplifers below which you'll just get nothing :(
Guest gbirecki Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 I have a Huawei Ascend and as you point out the usual problem is that the volume is too low. What I have done to resolve my issue will likely work for you as well. The Astro Player app is an mp3 player which includes an equalizer. I move all of the equalizer controls to max and it has the effect of increasing the volume. If you move all of the controls down it will have the opposite effect and make everything quieter. The free version has 2 ways to get to the equalizer. One way will tell you it's not supported on the free version but the other way will let you do it. Test it and let me know if you need more help on that. Let us know if it works for you as well. Thanks Eric Perhaps I'm the only one with this problem, too quiet seems to be more common. ;) I like to listen to music while studying in a completely quiet room. My ears hurt after a long listening session with the lowest possible volume. ;) EDIT: I'm using JJRLS5 ROM at the moment.. Edited January 14, 2011 by Meizirkki

I am using Sennheiser PX-100 II, the reason isn't about what phone, it's same on any device I use. When using different headphones the output sound is low, headphones that seem to add extra surrounding sound is Sennheiser PX-100 II, Koss porta pro,Philips SHP-8900, AKG DJ K 518,Philips SBC-HL145,Sennheiser HD-650,Klipsch Image One,Koss PRO4AA and lastly NIXON Trooper Headphones.(Yes I own each of these headphones...I love to compare and save... a copy).

Hi Mr I have every headphone ;) What is a good in ear, great sounding, discrete headphone for the ZTE Blade? It will need to be very good at noise cancelling since I listen to videos whilst on the train and I don't want to disturb other passengers with noise leakage? Thanks
