Thanks for the mirrors, unfortunately have found no way to make it work on Roggin CM 6.1, install fails, pushing it works but the market always force close.

That is really strange. I've linked an article in my first post, at the bottom of which they've mentioned an installation trick. I'll quote:

"...to try and force the update: Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications> All> Market and clear data"

Tried that too, didn't work.

EDIT: Managed to make it work:

-Make a backup (as always)

-Delete Android Market with titanium (there's 2 of em delete the one with the actual android market icon)

-Push the Vending.apk in system/app (if the file name isn't Vending.apk just rename it)

-Reboot

-Enjoy.

It looks really cool, a good cosmetic update.

Ok, seems like there is a problem with this for some people. I'm posting a link to an update.zip using which you can revert back to the old market. Do a nandroid first, and note that I haven't tested it myself (found it on XDA, where its reported to be working fine):

if u run roggin CM6.1 rom i think u need this one to flash in malez recovery "Vending-2.2.6-signed-testkeys.update.zip"

i tried the .apk version and no way to make market work...... with the zip one everything fine!

The rotating rings problem only appear on Acer based ROMs, because of the broken framework, like when you use some apps like TW3 launcher, when you press Menu you get a weird notification icon (orange square).

Hi Market specialists,

Any idea for this situation:

I'm running LCR-F with patch 1.1.2.

Market enabled with malez recovery 0.6.1. (time set to 23.59 ... 00.02 also done).

Old maket app: I can see 3 columns: top paid, top free, just in. Very good, I never seen the paid column before but it is empty! :(

I have downloaded new market app now and I can't even see the "paid" column. I really want to see paid apps.

How to reach? I don't care about new market app, I would use the old but I need the paid apps. ;)

My country is still missing from that magic list...
