Be careful....

Hi folks

Just to make you aware, I've had the phone for less than a week now and I am experiencing an effect on the screen which I call phasing. (same effect as pressing down on a calculator screen, or a speaker too close to the tv) just not as bad.

I know that I haven't knocked or banged the phone accidently or on purpose  . All I can put it down to is the electro-magnetic field on the entry system at work (scan your pass to gain entry) these are approx 1 metre high.

The effect was most noticeable after passing through. Now I keep the phone at chest height when passing through and voila, it's not getting any worse. :) I suppose it could also happen in these shops that employ the same sort of devices for tags on clothes etc.

If anybody has any other suggestions as to the cause, they will be gratefully received.

Is this a rainbow-coloured type thing on the screen?

This has been reported (and I've experienced it) when the phone's been in the cold (below 4 degrees)...

I've had the same problem when my phone has been cold. Once it's been warm for a few minutes the effect goes away.

I get the same effect when the phone has been off for a while.

yup def the cold temp to blame.

it only happens in one room of my house---maybe the smartphone eating gremlins live there

My seems to be due to temperature, but rebooting clears it! How weird is that?
